Alliance’s John Flory is participating in a task force charged with revising standard 1808 of the IEEE Power and Energy Society. Standard 1808 is the “IEEE Guide for Collecting and Managing Transmission Line Inspection and Maintenance Data.” Mr. Flory is leading a sub-task force on Using Advanced Analytics to use inspection data to reduce risk and enhance reliability. This Advanced Analytics includes AI, Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Augmented Reality.
