DAVID JERMAIN - Associate

Mr. Jermain is a successful senior executive and consultant with operational, consulting, and investor experience from end to end of the electric power supply chain.
He has corporate experience in strategy and business planning, customer services, and investments (venture capital, large-scale utility mergers, and workouts).
He has operational experience in integrated energy systems management, island utilities, energy services start-ups, and line respponsiblity for 1500 MWs of demand response resources.
As an entrepreneur, he has helped start a corporate independent power subsidiary, raised capital for an integrated utilities start-up and a fuel cell venture, started and successfully grew two consulting companies, and presently is working on opportunities in engineered fuels, industry-specific solar solutions, information systems integrating grid operations and consumer end-use behavior, and demand response services.
His investment-related experience includes merchant generator financial restructuring, solar distribution M&A, advanced materials fund management, and a variety of PE deals focused on sustainable energy solutions.
Mr. Jermain’s subject matter expertise includes demand response (operations, program design, and performance analytics), organization development and change management, enterprise transformation, large-scale project management for ISO / RTO systems, compliance management for organized markets and market participants, long-term procurement planning, strategic, business, market, and operational planning, supply chain performance improvements, grid and end-use operations research and analytics, and executive and managerial conflict management.
Presently, he is focused on renewable energy and demand response performance management and continuous operational improvement.
