​Terry Sando brings a wealth of experience related to Company Advisory and Integrated Risk Management.   He is a visionary leader who has successfully engineered start-ups for both international and domestic operations of technology companies. With his networking skills he has joined local, state, federal and foreign governmental agencies with universities to attract businesses in advancing economic development. He has also brought integrated risk management practices including cybersecurity, physical security and supply chain.
 
Terry spent 30 years in the US military (Air Force and Air National Guard) in increasingly responsible roles leading to Joint Strategic Resource Planning over $17billion of operations across multiple regions.  His planning also covered the spectrum of sovereign air, maritime, space and cyberspace operations for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD).   Earlier he held various roles such as Intelligence Officer, Security Officer, Supply Management & Systems Officer and Quality Advisor.

Since leaving the military, he has been Director of Emergency Management and Public Safety for the University of North Dakota which include directing day-to-day activities in the Operations Center, the University Police, Risk Management, Safety and Emergency Functions.  He completely revamped the Emergency Management Framework and Business and Operations Continuity Plans.
 
He has also exhibited Business Development and Economic Development skills in high tech areas such as the use of Unmanned Autonomous Systems to support Precision Ag and Storm Damage Assessment, working with the Grand Forks Region EDC and eSmart Systems.  He also served as Military Advisor to Congressman Kelly Armstrong.
